I am a photographer and printmaker whose love of image-making begins with the photograph as an object. What first drew me to the medium was not only the image itself, but the craft of transforming of light, time, and memory into a physical print.

I am also a collector of vintage photographs and am fascinated by the infinite stories contained within a single image. Each image becomes a portal into history, inviting imagination and connection across time.

Much of my work is rooted in my own family history and photographs. Through these images, I explore the ways in which personal narratives are constructed and preserved. Family photographs are both historical archives and mysteries: records of lived moments that continue to reveal new meanings with each viewing.

Ultimately, my practice is driven by my desire to discover new worlds through the frame. Whether working through photography, video, or archival photos, I am interested in how images shape our understanding of both past and present.

My practice is rooted in historical forms of making, this connection extending beyond photography into traditional crafts. The histories embedded in traditional crafts share a devotion to material, process, and the collective memory carried through generations of working hands. My relationship to craft informs how I approach creation as a whole. To learn more about this aspect of my world and practice, you can visit Knotted Tail.
